Palmetto Moon: Born of Blood
Sophie
D'Angelo runs a detective agency left to her by her father, her partner
Eric is the man who left her standing at the altar a year ago although
his reason for doing so, that he was turned in a vampire, are sound!
Sophie is hired to look into the disappearance of
a local mother of 4 when the police draw a blank. This leads Sophie to
get more involved with the local vampire hierarchy than she would like
and along the way she bumps into a couple of werewolves and she even
keeps Eric from killing them!!
This story has a lovely light touch to it and some great humorous moments,
not only does Sophie have a vampire in her attic that she is not sure
she wants but where else can he go, she also has to put up with his new
girlfriend, another vampire, who she hates! Her mother and sisters keep
her on her toes if she ever does get a break from work. This book is
more mystery than a vampire book and I didn't see the bad guy coming! The was an enjoyable read.
I would rate this at 4 out of 5 stars
