Wallis is a tough a nails woman. She usually is out in the field working the cases for the Bureau of Criminal Investigations, but her last case left her on crutches after being shot in the leg twice. She isn't out of the loop though, because her partners in the bedroom, Austin and Michael, are also her partners in BCI. They're just not always there when she needs them because when duty calls, they have to answer.
Typical horror story fashion, when the hero is away, the bad guy will play. OF course now that Wallis is handicapped she is renting the next door cottage out to a new tenant. The more we learn about him, the more you can see trouble coming for Wallis. She should have paid attention to that urge to get a big guard dog.
This was a good story with really good build up to the climax. The story development focused on good and evil giving great anticipation. If didn't check the genre/content this book does contain m/f/m, m/f, m/m.
