BJ Grinder and TS McKinney Day 4

Wait For Me

"When you were...gone, I would come up here and stare at the stars and think about all our conversations on my rooftop.  I would cry most of the times, but there were times when I could actually laugh as I remembered some of the silly crap we got involved in. I know it was stupid, but I felt closer to you when I was up here."  By this point, tears were streaming down her face.  Her words hadn't been much, but the memories had been painful...incredibly painful.  God, how she had missed him as she had lain up here.  She could still see herself, huddled in the corner of the rooftop, rocking back and forth, sobbing uncontrollably.  She had begged God for help.  Promises had been made.  Curse words had been screamed.  But, nothing had changed.  Every morning when she woke up Jasper was still living in captivity and she was still trapped in her own personal hell.
