Review of The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey

The 5th Wave
By Rick Yancey

The world Cassie knows is over. An alien mothership has entered earth's atmosphere. A couple of days later the aliens attack. The aliens wipe the power out, First wave. Then the aliens create a earthquake that can be felt all over the world, Second wave. Also the aliens made a disease that is similar to ebola but is stronger and more resistance to any medicines, Third wave. If that's not bad enough the aliens are now occupying human body's, Fourth wave. After these waves more than 7 billion people are dead. Cassie must survive all these waves to find her missing brother. The world Cassie used to know is over. The world Cassie is in now has just began. Cassie must survive the fifth wave in order to save her brother.

I loved the book. It was very good and action packed. There is a little romance but nothing bad.  You really feel like your are in the book and the author makes you feel for the characters and what they go through. The alien war for earth is very interesting and has a military feel to it. I recommend this book for middle schoolers. Remember to read the infinite sea and last star. Book 2 and 3 of the fifth wave series.
