Review of Aramus by Eve Langlais

 Aramus

In the future technology has grown by leaps and bounds. A experiment turning soldiers in to cyborgs was thought to be a great advancement. Now liberated, on the run, humans are terrified of them because of the propaganda from the government. Humans are terrified of the cyborgs and the cyborgs are not fan of the humans because humans took away their choices and turned them into part machines and monsters in the eyes of the people they used to know.  Aramus, one of the leaders. He is strong and loyal to his fellow cyborgs, almost a fault. He hates all humans. He has no issue killing them, if they get in his way. When one of them goes missing,  Aramus and a team of cyborgs go on a mission to find out what happened. They find a human run installation with atrocities no one should have to see let alone suffer. His anger towards humans escalates even more. When they take some prisoners, doctors who were left behind, he never dreamed how much a human could affect his life.

Aramus, was wronged on so many levels as a human and holds a lot of anger towards humans because of what he and his cyborg family have suffered through. What he doesn't realize is that not all humans are bad, not all humans what to hurt him, not all humans deserve to die. When he meets a young voluptuous doctor, his world is turned upside down. He starts to question all the hate he has held onto for so long. This was an awesome read. You want to throttle Aramus at times but he grows on you as he learns how to love. And like any human in a relationship for the 1st time, he makes mistakes and hurts the ones closed to him. Eve doesn't disappoint in this futuristic love story. Be for warned it is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. This was the 1st I have read in the series and I loved it. Thanks for the great read Eve!
