Tris Prior also know as Beatrice has a hard time in Abnegation, one of the 5 fraction in this post-apocalyptic world. The Abnegation are selfless and just want to help others. Her father and mother are two of the leaders of the Abnegation. Caleb, Tris’s brother, has an easy time being in Abnegation. The Abnegation are the government of all the other factions, Erudite, Candor, Amity and Dauntless. Erudite are smart. Candor are honest. Amity are peaceful and Dauntless are brave. The aptitude test decides the persons faction but when Beatrice gets her results they are dangerous, they are Divergent, compatible with many of the factions. When Beatrice choses, she goes to Dauntless, leaving Abnegation. With Tris now in Dauntless, Erudite has plans of their own. Plans that may endanger Tris and everyone she loves and cares for.
This book is fast paced. It’s great for boys because of the action but also great for girls because the romance. It keeps your attention through the entire book and there are a few surprising events. I am 13 and had no problems reading this book. So a great YA book. I’ll give this book five stars. Remember to read the other books too. I am currently reading book 2. Review to come soon.
