For the Love of a God
The Greek Gods still exist, even if not fully remembered. They are not just fairy tales or stories but based on truths. Eyrx, the son or Ares and Aphrodite, is a god of love. He and his cousin, Dionysus, went through time sleeping with women, drinking and just having fun. When Eryx sees a devoted follower, a priestess of his temple, he becomes infatuated with her. He actually starts to care for her. It grows into something more than lust. Nemesis, one of Zeus's daughters has been in love with Eyrx. She is jealous of the priestess. So when Eyrx decides to go with his cousin to a orgy, he leaves the priestess and goes for a little fun. He feels guilty and misses his little priestess and goes to meet her at his temple, only to find her long dead. Nemesis had stabbed her to death. Eyrx, heartbroken and felling guilty as hell, pushes on with his immortality. Starts to fall in love with another women, only to have Nemesis kill her as well. This happens time and again, until he realizes he can not endanger any one else.
Maia, daughter of a famous archaeologists, loves what she does. She restores artifacts for museums. She has patients, tenderness and love for her job and her favorite statue, the statue of Eyrx. She has had a little crush on him years. Due to her father, she grew up hearing all the stories and always wondered what happened to Eyrx. The new boss is coming to the museum and stirring up trouble, even threatening to move HER statue. Her dreams are of Eyrx's touch and them making love, so when she meets the new director, she doesn't know what to think because he looks just like her dream Eyrx.
I love Greek mythology. The gods always bring cool stories to any book and this one is no different. Maia is an independent women, who wants a man she believes doesn't exists. Eyrx truly wants someone to love, and both are extremely lonely. Their attraction builds to a point were neither can deny it. Nemesis can't believe Eyrx would love anyone else but her. The ultimate women bent on revenge. A great love story with danger, drama, a few laughs and tears. What would you do for the love of a god?? Great book 4 stars...adults only!

A.J Meyers Excerpt of Something Witchy
Excerpt: Something Witchy
They had a name for someone like me, someone who falls in love with their kidnapper—besides idiot, that is—but I was still too messed up from my nightmare to remember what it was. I wasn’t going to fall in love with Nathan, though. I was going to wait and watch, and the first opportunity I got, I was going to run like hell.
Yeah, keep telling yourself that, babe, a traitorous voice whispered in my ear.
Vampires and smartass ghosts. My life was a real nightmare come true. I suddenly wished for that ghost tank thing the Ghostbusters toted around. The idea of vacuuming Snake into an ectoplasmic Dirt Devil was almost enough to make me smile.
“This is a nice car,” I said, looking around at my kidnapper’s mode of transportation as a way to distract myself. “Who’d you say you stole it from? Batman?”
It was sleek enough to be the frigging Batmobile. It was jet black and purred like a well-fed cat. The inside was as black as the outside, the only break in the color scheme being the yellow Ashton Martin logo stitched into the headrests, and so spotless you would have thought he had driven it straight off the assembly line that morning. Every electronic gadget known to man that would fit in a car was there to be played with. I found myself itching to try the stereo to see what the sound system in a car that nice would be like.
“No, I didn’t steal it from Batman,” Nathan said, laughing softly. “Like I told your friend back there, it’s just a car. It’s a pretty toy, that’s all. I have a weakness for beautiful things.”
His voice changed at the end of his explanation, became deeper, more intimate, and I found myself blushing for no reason whatsoever. I needed to get a grip. I was an abductee, not this guy’s girlfriend. Besides, he had said he had a weakness for beautiful things. If that was the case, he should have kidnapped Kim instead. She would have been more his speed. Though, knowing Kim, she probably would have crushed his scrotum and been drinking lattes at the Coffee Bean by now, not panicked, fainted, and crawled back into his car like a complete chicken-shit because he yelled at her.
“Are you going to tell me where we’re going?” I asked moodily, staring out the window again. “No, wait, let me guess. We’re off to your creepy vampire lair where you will store me safely away in the dungeon until I’m gray and wrinkly from either loss of blood or old age?”
To my surprise, he threw back his head and laughed. I guess you can imagine how happy that made me. When he glanced at me and realized I was trying to glare a hole through his thick skull, he finally pulled himself together.
“I don’t intimidate you at all, do I?” he asked, looking torn between amusement and surprise that I wasn’t shaking in my boots.
I arched an eyebrow when he flipped on his blinker and pulled into a gravel parking lot that looked like it had been hit by a meteor shower. He could have lost his whole car in one of the craters rimmed in gravel that made up the lot.
“Hardly,” I told him grumpily. I glanced at him from the corner of my eye to see his reaction. Another smile. What a surprise.
“Hmm…” he murmured, giving me a playful look. “Then maybe I’m starting to make you nervous?”
“Sorry to bust your bubble, Dracula, but it would take a lot more than some fangs to make me nervous.”
“That’s not exactly what I meant.”
He reached over to brush a curl from my cheek, and I felt that delicious chill slip down my spine again. Wishing I wasn’t a blusher, I did my damnedest to meet his gaze. God, if only that heat in his eyes meant something… I was usually morally opposed to having sex in a car, but for him I might have reconsidered my position.
Have I mentioned that I am totally messed up?
“I think I do make you nervous,” he said softly, reaching for my hand and twining our fingers together.
“You really shouldn’t think,” I told him. “You’re obviously not used to the strain.”
Giving him a sickly sweet smile, I pulled my hand away before I could start to hyperventilate from the electric tingles racing up my arm. That was it. I was going to have to institute a strict No Touch policy—as soon as I remembered how to talk again. I didn’t think my poor heart could take the beating it was getting every time he touched me. Rather than press the issue, Nathan gave me a mysterious little smile and made a show of placing his hand back on the steering wheel.
When I decided there was something else in the universe worth looking at besides Nathan, I found myself staring through the windshield at the shabbiest looking diner in history. And when I say shabby, I mean this place looked nasty. The building was leaning to the side slightly like it had been the loser in a fight with an earthquake. The paint that hadn’t peeled off the exterior looked like it might have once been an awful shade of gray that would have set off the duct tape over the broken window panes to perfection. The stench from the overflowing dumpster I could see off to the side of the building was enough to make me queasy—and I hadn’t even gotten out of the car yet.
There was a battered old sign hanging over the door that had probably been painted before the west was won. I peered at it, trying to make out the name of the dump where I was expected to have dinner.
“Haven,” I muttered, arching one eyebrow. “They should have added an E and made it Heaven. That’s probably where the people who eat here end up. We’re not going to eat here, are we?”
“Don’t let the outside fool you,” Nathan said, already getting out of the car. “The food here is actually pretty good. Besides, it’s the only place I can get dinner…unless you’re rethinking offering yourself up as a snack.”
Yeah, because that was going to happen. If he was waiting on me to offer myself up as dinner, he was in for one hell of a long wait.
“Sure,” I agreed sarcastically, batting my eyelashes. “Let me find the rat poison and get a good dose of it in my system and I’m all yours!”
Rather than get offended, Nathan laughed again before jogging around the car to open my door. He held out his hand to me, and I gave it a wary look before getting out on my own. Call me crazy, but, considering my change in attitude toward mobile intercourse, I thought it might be best to avoid contact with him as much as possible.
Nathan thought otherwise.
The car door had barely closed behind me when I found myself pressed back against it once again. With the sexiest smile in history, he planted his hands on either side of my shoulders and leaned in closer, then closer still. My heartbeat sped up like a freight train, and my skin started up that damn tingling again as he leaned down to breathe his next words in my ear.
“Are you sure I don’t make you nervous, Ember?” he asked, making the mutant butterflies that had taken up permanent residence in my stomach wake up and go wild.
“Don’t flatter yourself, dead boy.” My voice came out all breathy, rather than the hard tone I had been trying for, totally irritating me.
“Hmmm,” he murmured, leaning closer and pressing me against the door at my back, his voice only a breath against my skin as his nose skimmed my jaw. He filled the space around me with his scent, his body, his mere presence blocking out everything and everyone else. “You know, I think you might be lying to me. Your heart is beating like a hummingbird’s wings and you seem to be having a little trouble catching your breath.”
“Um…you kidnapped me,” I told him, trying to remember why I didn’t want him molesting me in a dark parking lot in the middle of nowhere—with a very convenient crater only a foot away where he could hide my body. I wouldn’t be found for months. As rank as the air around me was, they probably wouldn’t even notice the smell. “Maybe I’m afraid. Ever think of that?”
“You know you’re not really afraid of me, Ember,” he whispered, letting his nose trail down the side of my neck.
“Yes, I am,” I murmured. In more ways than one, I finished silently. I didn’t want to be attracted to him, but I couldn’t seem to stop feeling that electricity between us that was potent enough to make my hair stand on end.
He pressed a soft kiss in the hollow below my ear, his lips as soft and silky as I had imagined they would be, and I thought maybe I had died and gone to heaven. I gasped, trying and failing to come up with a coherent train of thought as he pressed me even closer to the metal behind me, fusing our bodies together from chest to ankle.
Bad idea! my more practical side screamed. This is a very bad idea!
“Ah, you want to play hard to get, is that it?” he breathed against my ear, his lips barely brushing my earlobe, a butterfly caress that made my blood sing in my veins and my pulse pound. “That’s fine with me. I have to warn you, though; I don’t play games I can’t win.”
Vocal ice water.
Playing games, huh? I was sure that was something he was very good at. As beautiful as he was, he probably never had any shortage of playmates, either. He was probably one of those assholes who thought women were put on earth for the sole benefit of being his favorite form of entertainment. Unfortunately for him, that wasn’t going to work for me. I didn’t want him to use me to amuse himself so he could toss me when he got bored. I had more self-respect than that.
Didn’t I?
“Don’t bother,” I told him, pushing him away. He looked surprised, at first, but then his eyes became totally unreadable. “I don’t know what game you’re playing, Nathan, but you’re going to have to find someone else to play it with. I’m not interested in…whatever this is.”
“Aren’t you?” he asked, his tone as cold as ice.
“No, I’m not,” I snapped.
And at that moment, I meant it, damn it, because he'd dragged me from my home against my will and I had absolutely no idea what he planned to do with me, except maybe add me to his Slushie dungeon. Then, just to entertain himself, he thought it was okay to play head games with me. Well, he thought wrong.
He flinched, and I know he read my mind because he scanned my face long and hard, and I stared back with all the disgust for him that I could muster. Eventually, his eyes hardened.
“Suit yourself,” he said, shrugging like it didn’t make any difference to him one way or another. Tilting his head, he gave me a once-over that made me feel half an inch tall. “I doubt you could have held my attention for long, anyway. You’re a bit too…frigid for my tastes.”
I felt like he had punched me. In the chest. As hard as he could. Tears of humiliation welled up in my eyes before I could stop them, and I felt a desperate need to get away from him before I embarrassed myself—more than I already had, that is. With no other route of escape available to me, I turned and ran toward the only form of shelter I had.
I stumbled through the dingy front doors and took in my surroundings through tear filled eyes that made the world look all blurry and soft. Haven was a lot better looking on the inside than the outside, the worn tables polished and clean, the chairs upholstered in bright colors. They definitely weren’t doing booming business, though. The only person I saw was a gaunt old man who looked up in surprise from behind the register as I bolted through the doors like my ass was on fire. But the only thing I cared about was the sign painted in curly black script that read ‘Restrooms’.
I ran into the women’s bathroom and locked the door behind me. It was only then that I let the tears fall. Sliding down the door, I crossed my arms over my chest and clamped my mouth shut tight so the sobs fighting their way up from deep inside wouldn’t escape as I tried to figure out why Nathan’s words had hurt so much.
Because you know they were true, a sad little voice said in the back of my mind, and the truth hurts.
Even after the tears had run their course, I continued to sit there and stare at the faded roses on the wallpaper across from me. I had never willingly hidden from anyone or anything, but I couldn’t bring myself to stand up and walk back out that door knowing I was about as important to the vampire waiting on me as a piece of trash.
I don’t know how long I sat there before a soft knock at the door reminded me that I was hiding in a public bathroom. I had just opened my mouth to tell whoever was on the other side that I would be right out when the one voice I could have happily gone the rest of my life without hearing again drifted through the wood separating us.
“Ember, are you all right?” Nathan asked softly, tapping on the door again.
“I’m fine,” I said woodenly, his voice giving me the push I needed to stop acting like a child. Standing up, I threw the door open to find him looking about as miserable as I felt.
“Are you ready to go?” I asked, pushing past him to get out of the bathroom.
He caught my arm and turned me back to face him, and I focused my eyes on his chest and kept them there. Even when he tilted my chin up so I would have to look at him, I still refused to meet his gaze.
“God, I can’t do this,” he said softly, more to himself than to me, I think. “I’m so sorry, Ember. I didn’t mean to—”
“Didn’t mean to what?” I snapped, knocking his hand away. “Didn’t mean to kidnap me? Didn’t mean to play with me? Didn’t mean to make the poor, pathetic loser cry? What is it that you didn’t mean to do, Nathan?”
He flinched back from me like I was throwing silver bullets in his face instead of words. The sadness in his eyes might have made me feel sorry for him, but I didn’t have enough pity to spare for him. No, I was saving that all for myself.
“I didn’t mean to hurt you,” he said, his voice still soft. “I never wanted to hurt you.”
“You didn’t, so I don’t guess you need to apologize,” I lied, keeping my expression neutral and my voice cold. He had hurt me, but I’d be damned if I told him that. Instead, I decided to let him know he was no more important to me than I was to him. “I would have to care about you for you to hurt me, Nathan, and I don’t. You’re just the guy who kidnapped me. So, why don’t you get on with that so you can dump me off somewhere and leave me alone?”
I pulled my arm free and he didn’t try to stop me. Without another word, I turned around and walked away. The old man I’d noticed on my way in caught my eye on my way out, and I immediately bristled when I saw his sympathetic expression. I didn’t want his pity. And I damn sure didn’t want Nathan’s. All I wanted was to go home and cry on my bestie’s shoulder.
“Prince Charming, my ass,” I muttered as I marched back to the car. “Bloodsucking toad is more like it. I have absolutely no taste in guys. None at all.”
I jerked the passenger side door open with enough force to warp the hinges and had already thrown myself into my seat in a fit of temper when I realized two very important things.
Nathan hadn’t followed me out. Stupid vampire probably thought I was too scared of him to try anything—proving he didn’t know me at all.
If he had, the genius never would have left his keys in the ignition.
And if he hadn’t, I wouldn’t have stolen his car.
Remember this is the LAST day of the giveaway. It ends tonight. Winner will be posted in the AM tomorrow!

Margaret Millmore review of The Change
“The Change” – Book 2 of The Four
Clare,
Sam, Collin, and Sal, along with their staunch supporter Kate, have
been moved by The Consortium to a fortress in the Carpathian Mountains.?
This is so that, when The Four undergo their individual changes, they
can be monitored and aided by the more experienced of their kind.? Kate
is brought along because of her brilliant strategic mind and abilities
to take charge.?? The Dark Ones—the more stereotypical human-feeders—are
gaining power and are on the brink of attack.? It is up to The Four,
and their new cohorts, to stop them before they destroy all of humanity.
Once
again, Ms. Millmore has wrought a beautifully-crafted book. ?The
characters are fleshing out very nicely, and the book moves along
seamlessly.? I also find her angle on the vampire/werewolf myths very
intriguing.? Not to give anything away, but—I don’t care what the
denizens of the fortress say, I still think it would be an unfortunate
place to get a paper cut.
I
sincerely hope the third book is out soon.? As a personal tribute—I
like to read while I’m on the exercise bike.? Usually I am aware of
every minute I am on it, no matter what I read.? Not this time; twenty
minutes passed while I was reading “The Change”, and I had no awareness
of it.? Just so you know.
I
guess the only raisin in the chocolate-chip cookie would be that Ms.
Millmore used a few words and phrases a little too often.? Other
synonyms could have been put in their place, or left out entirely.? But
that is just a minor ailment in a masterfully written book by a
highly-talented author.

Ember from Something Witchy...Teaches Vampires 101
Hi, There! My name is Ember Blaylock, narrator and bad karma fairy victim from AJ Myer's new novel, Something Witchy--at least she thinks it's hers. I'm of the opinion she's just taking dictation. Anyway! I have got such a treat for you. I'm going to teach you all how to spot your own personal member of the undead in a little class I call...
How to Spot a vampire in Five easy steps( I so wish someone had given this advice to me, so pay attention!)
Step 1: Just hit him with your car. Go head! He;s kind of dead already, so it's not like you're going yo kill him--unless he's not really a vampire. In that case...Well, you know a good Lawyer, right?
Step 2: If he climbs from the wreckage of his insanely expensive car and your brain goes all fuzzy and you forget that drooling is embarrassing, that's another clue that you're dealing with the undead. And trust me, you will forget. Because vampires are hot! Like, jaw-dropping, speech-impairing, tingle-inducing hot. And if he smiles at you, You can just go ahead and consider yourself screwed.
Step 3: That yummy voice that makes you want to dissolve into a puddle at his feet and declare your undying love? Yeah, that's your third clue. My suggestion? Invest in earplugs. Now. Vampires can do this weird kind of mind voodoo with their voice and make you do pretty much whatever they want you to do. So if you don't want to end up quacking like a duck or something----which, especially if he's pissed enough about his car, you could very well end up doing ---take preventative measures.
Step 4: Vampires are stubborn, arrogant, lead-skulled meatheads that have no idea how not to get what they want. They call it being 'protective', I call it being obnoxious. DO NOT let him get the upper hand. Sure, you're taking the chance of becoming a blookshake, but at least you'll die with a little dignity, right?
Step 5: If you're still not sure you're dealing with a vampire, make him smile at you. Really smile, not one of those half-assed grins he's been using to turn mind to mush and light your nerve endings up like a Christmas tree. Tickle him, tell him a dirty joke, offer a lap dance. Do whatever you have to do to make him show you those pearly whites.
Yeah, those fangs are a dead giveaway right?
And that concludes our lesson for today. join us again for the next lecture on how to survive the World of Weird when we'll be covering Demon Bashing 101.
Oh! And good luck with your vampire. Believe me; you're going to need it.
Don't forget to check out the giveaway to the right of the page. And tomorrow check out an Excerpt for Something Witchy! If you have already entered there is more you can do each day!!

Jess Michaels review of For Desire Alone
For Desire Alone
This books premise is of a Mistress in the 1800 hundreds who is a paid mistress. Her Current protector as they are called dies and leaves her with a pittance. She musty now go and find another Protector.. Yet her protectors best friend who has secretly desired her, steps in and offers her a pleasure relationship until she finds another protector. He falls in love with her yet feels that do to his upbringing he does not now what love is. It is up to Judith to show him what love is through many sexual encounters. Yet the Attack on Judith from John's past thrust them into a marriage that neither are prepared for.
This book lays the storyline down and with holds back to leave the reader with wanting more. The beginning is full of great sexual scenes yet is slow going, I really had to work to get through the storyline. Half way through the book it finally picked up and let the ride begin, I found myself really wanting to read this book. I am so glad I got the chance to read this book. You will also.

Lauren Dane Review of Giving Chase
Giving Chase
Welcome to Petal Pumphouse, where Maggie and her best friends meet every Friday to relax, enjoy, and maybe meet a sexy man or two. Maggie is not afraid of anything and refuses to be pushed around. Despite her fearless attitude in most arenas, a loveless childhood left this petite powerhouse with certain insecurities, causing her to hide some of her most delightful characteristics. She dates several local men, but usually sets her sites lower when it comes to love.
Enter the Chase brothers. All four are masculinity embodied. Which one will convince the independent, modest Maggie to give him a chance? Author Lauren Dane does a terrific job of blending Maggie's vulnerability and fears with a steely sense of self direction. excellent story, fun characters, sweet romance, and a little suspense involving an overzealous date turned stalker makes for a entertaining escape into Petal and it's picturesque community. Enjoy! I did.

Nov 15th Special Come Meet AJ Myers!
Please welcome AJ Myers to Julies Book Review. Today is her release of
her newest book, Something Witchy. AJ is also giving away a $25 Giftcard and 3 E-books. So take
advantage of this 3 day special event. The give away will last through
today, so check out the rafflecopter to the right of this post.
Hello AJ, How are you today?
Great! The first day of a release is kind of a buzz, so much excitement!.
Lets start with maybe you telling us a little about yourself?
Well, I'm a YA paranormal romance author. I'm happily married to the last perfect guy on the planet and the mother of four amazing teenagers who keep my life interesting (to say the very least). I started writing in 2008 when my daughter decided she needed a new vampire series to read. I thought she was crazy, at first, but with her and my husband both begging me to do it, I started writing and haven't stopped since.
What type of genres do you write?
I mostly write in the paranormal romance genre. I just love the creativity you can put into it. There are so many things you can do with it.
You have a new release? Can you give us some a taste...maybe a blurb?
Sure! .
Blurb:
Is this a series? or a single?
Let my friends go after just one book? Never! No, Something Witchy is just the first book in the Mystics & Mayhem series. There are five books already planned, the second of which, Something Wicked should be released soon.
Who is your favorite character and why?
My favorite character is Ember. She's every teenage girl I have ever known all wrapped up in one. She's extremely smart, funny, beautiful, insecure, and a total and complete smartass. What's not to love?
Would you want to meet them in real life?
Oh, yeah! It would be interesting to see if the Ember in my head came anywhere close to the real thing. But, since she's my character, I guess she would have to, wouldn't she?
Where do you get your inspiration for your stories? characters? Any real life inspiration?
I have four teenagers, a ton of nieces and nephews, and some of the craziest friends and family you would ever want to meet. I am literally surrounded by inspiration day in and day out.
Where can we find you and you books?
Something Witchy will go on sale for Kindle today, the 15th.

My name is Ember Blaylock.
Welcome to the World of Weird—better known as my life.
It wasn’t always like this. I
was once a normal high school senior, just filling out college apps and trying
to stay sane long enough to get out of Moonlight, Missouri. Preferably
before I ended up in a straight-jacket out of sheer boredom.
At first, my only problems were my
increasingly unwanted ability to see the dead and my desperation to remove the
stalker known as my ex-boyfriend from my life. Somewhere along the line I
must have pissed off the Bad Karma Fairy. Maybe I stepped on the wrong
toadstool or peed in Loki’s personal swimming pool—I really don’t know.
All I do know is I’m about to have the worst week of my life.
Maybe the worst week of any teenager’s life. Ever.
All because of a dead guy.
From the second pale,
too-hot-to-be-real Nathan Ashley stepped out of the wreckage of his mangled
sports car, my life spiraled into complete and utter chaos. One minute,
I'm quasi-normal. The next, I’m being kidnapped by a vampire, I’m having weird,
creepy powers sprout up out of nowhere, and I’m running from a demon who wants
to get more familiar with my anatomy…or kill me. Again. Yeah, did I mention he's done it before?
Anybody know if those straight-jackets
come in pink?

Sharon Hamilton review of Undeworld Lover
Underworld Lover
Joshua is a legendary Dark Angel. He has never lost a soul he went after, until recently. Now with a new director in charge of the underworld, Joshua is now being questioned by the one person who may be more powerful than him. The director hates Joshua, wants to destroy him. When Felix one of his recruits, talks about the love of his life. He sees an opportunity of taking another soul. Felix and Melanie were best friends. Depressed and suicidal both of them, due to situations from there family's and just life in general. Felix saved Melanie from the dark fate. So now Felix a dark angel in training and still worrying about Melanie, is resentful and knows he had made the wrong choice. When Joshua runs into Melanie (literally), he sees the innocent and beautiful woman and knows she should be protected and loved. He doesn't understand why he is so drawn to her but knows she must not be turned or hurt and knows form that moment that his life will be changed forever because of this women. The director has know found a weakness in Joshua and a innocent soul to take as a trophy.
This book is a paranormal romance but has a very religious undertone. Not that there is anything wrong with that. The world Sharon creates is one of magic and the fight of good and evil with your very soul in the balance. The sex scenes were very hot and the story has lots of action and drama. A good read. Adults only.

T.C. Archer Review of Trouble at the Hotel Baba Ghanoush
Trouble at the Hotel Baba Ghanoush
Sometime in the future. People can take wonderful vacations. One can create ANY fantasy they desire. You can go to this outpost and a person with a mundane job can be a double agent or a secret agent can find someone to love. Fontana, is a secret agent. She has just finished a job and it did not end well. Jenny the person she was protecting died, and the bad guys got away. So her boss has told her to go take a vacation, rest up and reaffirm life, the job will be there. Fontana is feeling guilty but knows that there is more to the death of her last assignment. So she would go to the outpost but she would also doing digging of her own. Brent, a engineer, has been traveling and working for the past year. He has come to the outpost for vacation. He wants to be a double agent. A get away from reality and a little action and adventure will not hurt either. So at the Hotel Baba Ghanoush, they can make dreams come true, even if they don't know that is what they want. So when Fontana is sitting and having a drink, a naked man runs into the bar. A very HOT naked man runs through the bar. After getting a long coat for the man, then ending up in the alley way, pressed up to him, all hot and bothered. Fontana, keeps thinking of her boss, reaffirm life and find a man, get laid. Up against a hot naked man, who is showing her he is ready and willing, is all she needs. Anonymous sex, will be great. Brent and Fontana are both about to get the fantasies they didn't even know they wanted.
This is a very fast pasted read, and I wouldn't expect anything else form TC Archer. I love that these books will be liked both men and women. There is comedy, fighting, tons of action and lots of awesome sex scenes. This story is no different in those regards. Fontana, is feeling guilty about a past and does need to get laid. When she meets Brent, he is in the right place, time and he needs and wants her as much as she needs him. I will say I loved the bath scene!! Will not say any more, but very cool scene. Awesome sci-fi book. Guys need to pick this one up and girls this one will make you want your husbands/boyfriends near by anyway. Adults only!!

Margaret Millmore Review of The Begining book 1
The Beginning:? Book 1 of “The Four”
Clare,
Sal, Collin, Sam, and Kate have been great friends since junior high.?
Their backgrounds and their proximity to each other made for close
friendships all throughout their lives.? But the one experience which
binds them together is the simultaneous horror of a nightmare, which
happens to four of the five.? This same dream haunts them for years,
widening and deepening as time goes on.? The fifth friend is the voice
of reason, the logical help they all need, to keep their sanity.? When a
mysterious man approaches them with an offer to make sense of the
nightmares, which no one but the five knew about, he is avoided at
first. ??But when things get out of hand for the friends, he is allowed
to come into their lives and guide them into a realm none of them had
expected.
When
I first started this book, I told myself I would simply devote an hour a
day to reading it, but soon found myself carrying it everywhere.? It
isn’t a long read, but every page is a gem.? The character development,
their alliances with each other, and the backstory are seamless.?
Reading this book is well worth every minute I spent, even the hour or
so I stayed up past my bedtime to see the story unfold.? I am now going
to go read Book 2.? I am sure it will not disappoint.? Magnificent job,
Ms. Millmore!!
5 stars, only because I can’t give it ten.

Lila Shaw review of Succubus Games
Succubus Games
Sisyphus Prison, a prison where the gods send people that have made them angry. The gods use this place as punishment but also as their entrainment. Every year they gods gather for the prison games. the gladiator competition has 2 competitors. The winner gets their freedom and the loser gets sent to Tartarus (hell). So everyone in Sisyphus want to get into the competition. Either way win or lose they get out of the prison. So Tyche holds a drawing or lottery. Everyone who wants to be picked gets a number. Willow a succubus, gets a reaally high number. Narce, her friend tells her a secret. Only about the 1st 500 or so numbers get even put into the drawing. So Willow starts to look around for someone she can trade number with. Narce tells her about Hellveticus. His number is under that 500 mark. So under the advice of her friend Narce she approaches the man. He is leery but she can tell he his interested. They agree to change numbers but Helveticus makes a deal to get several hours with her after the lottery. When both their numbers are called, both Willow and Helveticus know they were set up. Willow goes to his home and even though she knows she was set up, she want to hopefully drain some of his energy before the match. She knows she can't beat any other way.
This is a short read. Some drama, and action fill this short story. Most of the action between the sheets. If you are looking for a fun hot read, this one is for you. Lila Shaw's Succubus books are some of my favorite. very entertaining. Adults only!!

This is a short read. Some drama, and action fill this short story. Most of the action between the sheets. If you are looking for a fun hot read, this one is for you. Lila Shaw's Succubus books are some of my favorite. very entertaining. Adults only!!

The Promise-----Blurb
Can he bring her memories forth, allowing her to see
him as she did then? To know him once more and reclaim the love for him she
once had? Or will she be lost to him forever?
He realized
he had been staring. “Lady Elizabeth?” He hesitated, hoping his words would
bring those green eyes to look upon him, her gaze having been directed
everywhere but. “Lady Elizabeth, I—”

Excerpt:
There was a rap at the door. “Your hot chocolate is ready.”
“Thanks, I’ll be right down.”
There was a pause. “You sure you’re all right?”
“Why do you keep asking me that?”
“Oh, I don’t know. I can hear something in your voice.”
“In my voice? What are you, part dog or something?”
Derrick
chuckled. “There might be a girl from college that may just agree with
you on that.” Again there was a pause. “May I come in?”
“Actually, I was about to get dressed.”
“So, you’re saying you’re not decent?”
“No, I’m wearing a bathrobe.”
“Well good, because I’m coming in.”
“No, Derrick…” But he had already opened the door, and setting the cocoa
aside he came over standing before her as she sat on the bed.
“Okay, now I know something’s wrong. Annie, why didn’t you tell me how bad you hurt yourself?”
“It’s not that bad. I’m not about to make a big deal out of nothing.”
“You
don’t need to be brave for me. If anything it’s really important that
you be as honest as you can, with both yourself, and me, about this. I
don’t want you doing any more damage because you are trying to force
yourself to do something you shouldn’t be.”
“All right, I’ll admit, my ankles are a little sore. I must have stretched the muscles or something.”
“It looks like they are a lot more than a little sore.”
“Well
you know what they say. A sprain is a lot more painful than a break.
Although that would obviously depend on the break. But I’ve sprained
something, and I’ve broken something, and I’d have to agree with that
assessment, the sprain was much more painful. But as far as that goes
this isn’t even that bad.”
“Pain is our body’s way of telling us we are hurt.” Derrick looked concerned.
“You do realize you sound like Mr. Rogers?”
“Those people that feel you have to be in pain to accomplish something.” He shook his head.
“Well, I’ll agree with you on that score.”
“If they hurt you need to stay off them. You don’t want to make it worse.”
“You can’t be serious.”
“Well, look at it this way, by using them while they’re sore you will probably lengthen the time it takes for them to heal.”
The
idea of experiencing what she was now for any longer than she
absolutely had to, was not an appealing concept, to say the least. “I’ll
try to take it as easy as I can.”
“Try?”
“Well I am not going to spend the remainder of the weekend in this bed.”
“No need.”
“What are you saying?”
Before she had a chance to reply, Derrick had slipped one arm beneath her knees, the other around her back and under her arms.
“Whoa! What are you doing?”
“Well, I would have thought that was obvious.”
“Oh, you have to be kidding me.”
“What makes you think that?”
“You are not serious.”
“Completely.”
“What? So, you’re going to carry me everywhere?”
“Pretty much.”
“Oh now that’s just too much!”
He
was already lifting her into his arms as though she was nothing, and
she wrapped her arms around his neck as he carried her out the door and
onto the balcony. He was wearing a sweater but she could still feel his
taut and rippling muscles beneath it. The muscles in his arms flexing
against her as he carried her carefully down the stairs. The heat from
his body reached through her bathrobe as she held her face close to his,
the scent of soap and aftershave wafting up around her as he grasped
her tightly to him. Setting her on the sofa next to the fire, he turned
his face to hers. For a moment they just stayed like that, holding each
other, their lips close as his eyes moved down her face to her mouth.
The Promise-----Blurb
Blurb:
Unable to prevent his first love, the Lady Marianne,
from being struck down by a carriage in a London street, Anthony Thornhill,
heir to the Duke of Albourne, watches her die in his arms.
Believing her lost to him forever, he tries to
forget her through an endless line of ladies, his rakish ways leaving him empty
and wanting. That is until he literally bumps into the Lady Elizabeth, his
curiosity aroused. Drawn to her, because she reminds him of a loss he will
never regain, he comes to realize she just may be the Lady Marianne, fulfilling
a promise of a dance that never was. His only problem…she does not remember
him.
Excerpt:
Anthony
Thornhill, the Duke of Albourne, was quite enjoying the close company. He had
to admit, she was not like the many other girls he had known, all fluttering
eyelashes and coy smiles behind lace fans. No, she was quite extraordinary, and
the fact that she was not already melting under his most capable charm, as
every other sweet young thing to have graced his presence had done, was evidence
enough of that. She intrigued him, this young woman before him, and engendered
a sense of challenge within him. And he was never more alive than when aroused
by a challenge as sweet as Lady Elizabeth.
He grinned,
observing her downward glance, and then looked in the direction of the
refreshment tables. “It would seem that I must attend to this,” he admitted
with a note of reluctance, having come to appreciate their intimate
circumstance. “If you would wait for me here, I won’t be but a—”
Lady
Elizabeth gasped as someone fell against her, pushing her into Anthony. He
reached out quickly, catching her in his arms. The impact knocked him back
although he braced against it.
“Forgive me,”
Lady Elizabeth uttered. Her palms pressed firmly into the now taut muscles of
Anthony’s chest. She tried to right herself, but the man who’d knocked her over
was still pushing against her as he
attempted to stand.
The
fragrance of lilacs rose before Anthony, the firmness of Lady Elizabeth’s body
now deliciously warm as she was pressed helplessly against him. He tightened
his arms around her. Her
silken curls caressed his face and as the pink of her cheeks deepened
noticeably, he smiled.
He liked
the way she felt in his arms. In fact, he’d been thinking about it ever since
she’d stumbled into those same arms earlier in High Street. Only then, the
moment had been lost before he’d had the opportunity to really enjoy it.
Now, he was
definitely enjoying the moment, and the fact that he was unable to move—unable
to do anything in which he could remedy the situation—was no cause for alarm as
far as he was concerned. Although she was trying desperately to pull away,
moving her body ever so slightly against him in the process, it only served to
heighten his pleasure.
“Lady
Elizabeth—”
The man
righted himself and Lady Elizabeth was at last able to free herself.
“You must
believe me the clumsiest fool, sir,” she said to Anthony, her hands still
firmly pressed upon the embroidered grey silk of his waistcoat.
“I could
never believe that of you, Lady Elizabeth.” An errant curl had come loose, its
raven tress descending upon the milky white of her neck, and he watched as she
tried unsuccessfully to tuck it back into place.
