Review of The Lupane Legacy by Darby G. Holladay

The Lupane Legacy

Darby G. Holladay

The story starts out in Zimbabwe . . . . imagine being 5 years old,

going out to collect the daily supply of wood and seeing your entire

village being slaughtered right before your young innocent eyes.

Patrick at the young age of five lost his family and the life he once

knew.

Patrick was taken in by Contstance's family. They raised young

Patrick as their own. When he became 18 he went to college and to

begin his life. The one thing Patrick had on his mind was revenge. . .

making the one responsible to pay.

Joshua Denham is attending a concert in the park, held by Austrian

embassy where his cousin, Constance is playing. Constance is a

renowned violinst. Here is where Joshua will meet Devon Kerr, they

once met a year ago in Afghanistan. Joshua was in the Marines at

that time. The spark between them was once again lite.

Patrick who is now the Director of Archives for the Zimbabwe's

Central Intelligence Organization, recieves a package. One he has

been waiting for since that dreadful day when he was 5. What this

package holds will help him get justice for his family and formal

village members.

This is a wonderful written novel and very fast pace! Holladay

brought in the right amount of characters to make this African

political read one that is easy to understand. I was hoping to read

more of the budding romance between Joshua and Devon, but, I am

sure the next installment will bring them even closer together. I have

to say Holladay grabbed in on the first sentence and tugged my

heart, while picturing poor little Patrice watch such a horriable act of

violence.

5 bright shiny stars

Wende :)
