Anita Blake has a complicated love life. Filled with many people she and her lovers protect all connected by metaphysical connections. But what happens when a primary heterosexual  is connected to a women who has been abused physically, mentally and in every way possible. Anita is lost because she is not attracted to her but feels obligated and is stretched already to thin between those she is in love with already. Jason a long time friend with benefits gives Anita a solution that may solve all of their problems.

This is not a story that you can just read and hope to fully understand. if you know the wold of Anita Blake, you know it is complicated and full of turmoil, sex and action. This is the story of Anita finally saying is enough is enough and she learns even more about herself. Maybe more than she even wanted to know. It is a good story and the sex scenes were pretty hot. My favorite part is the fact i felt like I was visiting old friends and makes me excited for the next installment. I didn't like all the mental turmoil. Not my favorite Anita read but not the worse. Enjoyed the story.
