At the Water's
Edge
by LS Allen
First of all, I have to admit that this book was totally
different from what I normally keep on my bookshelf and I was initially very
concerned about whether I would be able to get properly involved with the
storyline. Thankfully, the author was more than capable at keeping me
involved and wondering what was going to happen next!
There were a few times I had to go back and reread some parts
in order to keep my mind on the straight and narrow but that may very well have
been one of my own shortcomings. I am, and always will be, a romance kind
of girl!
The story was a wild ride about friendships, found and lost,
the underground criminal world and all the ugliness that accompanies it, and the
harsh realities young people often face because of risky decisions they make
when trying to muddle through life and all the dangers lurking around
them.
Overall, it was a great read and I would strongly recommend
it!
Best
