3 Review for Merry Farmer

TRAIL OF KISSES (Book1)
  Merry Farmer

Merry farmer did an excellent job taking us across country on a wagon train. Dangers along the way, hard times, a tornado, a bunch of miners up to no good and in this particular story an intended murderer. Cade was hired to escort and protect Lynne as the wagon train headed west and get her to the safety of her uncle in Denver City. Cade has his hands full with this spitfire and it seems like they are always finding trouble. I thought this story was very well written keeping my interest throughout the whole story. I can't wait to read the rest of this set.

TRAIL OF HOPE (Book 2)
  Merry Farmer

My first read of Merry Farmer's work. Outstanding!! No confusion, no getting bored with this story. I read it all in one sitting. Merry does an excellent job taking us back to the days of pioneers traveling in a wagon train. Just the first few pages had me about in tears.I knew then that this book was going to be a keeper. I haven't read this genre in awhile and it felt good to be transported back to the early days of our ancestors. Times were tough, men & women had to be tougher. To find love on the trail in this situation as Merry explained with her characters made this a great story. I will definitely be reading more of her work. I haven't read the first book in this series but I will be shortly and then moving on to book #3.

TRAIL OF LONGING (Book 3)
  Merry Farmer

I am really enjoying the wagon train of characters heading west. I am being introduced to a variety of personalities. Emma is shy but really good with the children. Dean is the doctor on the train traveling west and seems like the catch of the century to some of the mothers traveling also. He has his eye on Emma and hers on him. They get set aside in a way station while her ankle heals from the tornado that hit the pioneers. Her mother acting as chaperone is a woman to be reckoned with. She's loud and obnoxious and looking to climb that social ladder. When the next train comes thru for them to travel with, we get to meet a whole new set of characters. Emma finally gets a best friend but Dean has to deal with an old school chum to tries everything in his power to steal Emma's affections and make Dean look like a coward. I can't wait to read the 4th book in this series and also the 5th as Merry Farmer gave me a hint as what it will be about!
