Capital Bride
by
Cynthia Woolf
In a time when having a baby out of wed-lock can ruin your reputation. Sarah
trudges forward and raises her daughter with the help of an Aunt.
Despite being talked about, name calling, she does an awesome job! Her
little girl is the light of her life. When her aunt dies she decides to
become a mail-order bride. Sarah has a backbone and is not some wishy
washey woman of the times. Sarah and her daughter set out for Colo. to a
rancher named John Atwood.
John is a single father raising his daughter who hasn't spoken since seeing her mother gunned down in a bank robbery.
When
John and Sarah meet for the first time sparks fly! Neither can believe
their luck, they are drawn together like a moth to the flame. Sarah is
everything John could have wished for, she takes immediately to his
daughter, she has no airs about her, she can cook, oh and she is
stunning!
Their daughters become close friends. John and Sarah work on making this a real family in all ways!
This
book was very well written! I liked that Sarah had a backbone and
dealt with everything thrown at her with dignity. The romance was so
believable and the sex scenes were tastefully written and fit within the
storyline. I could just imagine the life back then, so well written.
Great Story line.
