She is giving away a $50 Amazon or Barnes & Noble (winner’s choice)
gift card and any ebook from her backlist on the rafflecopter to the

GREAT items for an AWESOME giveaway!
We are all very glad you came here to JBR. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Happy
to! I’m a married mother of two young kids living in New Jersey. In
the winter, I dream about the summer, and in the summer, my family and I
enjoy spending time at our shore house, boating, fishing, crabbing, and
clamming!
What genres do you write?
Paranormal Romance, focusing mostly on shape-shifters.
As
a reader, I love all genres but my followers want to know what to
expect from your books. Action, adventure, romance, sex, magic??
All of the above!! Romance, hot sex, drama, action, and magic. And sex. And love. And sex. Lots and lots of sex.
Who is your favorite character(s) from your books?
Tough
question. I love all my characters in one way or another. For my
Wolf’s Mate series, Linus is my favorite hero, he’s so sweet and is that
combination of strong man and vulnerable little boy that makes him
irresistible to me. In my wiccan-were-bear novella series, Melo is a
favorite of mine, which is why I was so excited to finally have an
opportunity to write his book. He’s just so sweet. And who doesn’t
like a guy that can purr?
What is your newest release? Can you tell us a little about it?
My
latest release is A Twitch of Tail, Book Six in the Wiccan-Were-Bear
series. The lead character, Melo Thorne, was a secondary character in
the first book in the series, A Curve of Claw. He was one of the
heroine’s jilted lovers. When I wrote that first book, I knew that
eventually I would give him a book of his own so he could have a shot at
having an HEA. In this book, his brother Tahlon visits, and the two of
them discover they are meant to share a mate, a Wiccan named Tera.
Forces conspire against them, and they have to fight to stay together.
What about future projects? Any hints?
Currently,
I’m working on the sixth book in The Wolf’s Mate series, Logan &
Jenna. I’m also working on the second Ashland Pride book as well as the
second Hyena Heat book, which are all slated for release in the next
few months.
Can you give aspiring authors any advice?
Be
willing: willing to learn from others’ mistakes, willing to make your
own mistakes and own up to them, willing to take criticism with grace.
Keep writing. Don’t give up.
How about some “fun” personal stuff!
I
once ate a hamburger that was as big as a dinner plate. I’ve lived on
both coasts. My first crush was David Hasselhoff. I never wanted to be
a princess, but I did want to be a veterinarian, until allergies forced
me to pursue other vocations.
What book have you read that touched you deeply? and why?
The
book that made me want to become a writer is SE Hinton’s The Outsiders.
I’ve read that book a hundred times. I was twelve when I found it in
the library, and when I discovered that SE published the book at
fourteen, suddenly I saw this whole world opening up in front of me and I
started writing. My first book was what would now be called fan
fiction of The Outsiders, a terrible, drawn out thing typed with a
manual typewriter that will never “never!” see the light of day. But
this is the book that set me
on a path that took a long time to come to fruition, but will always have a special place in my heart.
Favorite past time activity?
Hands down, it’s reading.
A favorite book or author you can recommend and why?
Laurann
Dohner is one of my favorite paranormal romance authors. I think she’s
brilliant at creating characters that readers can relate to and fall in
love with, and her world building is amazing. My favorite book of hers
is the third in the New Species series, Valiant.
Favorite place to travel to?
My
favorite place to travel to is Kentucky. My family is from there, and
there’s just something about crossing into the state that just feels
like home to me. I didn’t grow up there, but there’s a part of me that
is Kentuckian at the core.
What kind of music do you listen to?
Mostly 90s rock, although I do listen to current pop hits.
And finally, where can we find your books?
You can find my books at all major ebook distributers.

I love these series!! Great reads, thanks for writing them!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jamie! And you're very welcme...I'm glad you've enjoyed my books!!
DeleteWell were do I start. I am married with three children, well I say children they are 21/18 and 14, so grown up really. I read whenever I have an opportunity and I read very fast. I have got through nearly 200 books since Christmas, and one of my favourite authors is R.E. Butler. I have read The Walk Mate series which I loved and also, seducing Samantha, bead of blood, Twitch of Tail, The Necklace Chronicles and The Wiccan-Were-Bear series.I cannot wait for her he release more books, I will dive on them with enthusiasm.
ReplyDeleteI read anything that has shifters, or paranormal romance in it. Reading is my downtime from work and a great way to anti-stress.
Tracey, your book reading prowess is amazing! I'm so glad to be listed among your favorite authors! :-)

DeleteR.E.,
ReplyDeleteI've really enjoyed your "Wolf Mate," "Ashland Pride" and "Hyena Heat" series. You write for all women - all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, ages, and I appreciate that. I especially like that your characters are ADULTS, who have learned to accept themselves and are moving forward (Alyssa, from "Hyena Heat," comes to mind, immediately).
Thank you!
Michelle
Thank you so much, Michelle! You're really welcome...but thank you again for your support and kind words!
DeleteI have read everything you have written but my fave was the ashland pride and i can't wait for more of the series to come out! Love them all!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jennifer! I'm working on Alek's book today!
DeleteI've only read the Wiccan books but I'll be sure to give the other series a try. I love trying new books that have shifters that are not wolves. That was the main reason for me getting "A Curve of Claw." Were-bears are sexy! Lions and Tigers are too.
ReplyDeleteI also read Laurann Dohner's books and think Valiant is the best book from her New Species series.
Hi Marie! I really love shifters. They're so much fun to write. And although I have a wolf series, I've really loved branching out into other shifters, like hyenas, tigers, and mountain lions (not to mention the bears, 'cause I love them, too!). Valiant is still one of my favorites of the New Species series. I've read his book many times and he still cracks me up! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteOnce you read one of R.E. Butler's books you are hooked and will read the others. Her books are addictive!!!
DeleteThanks, Elyce! *grin*
DeleteThanks for a really great set of books. I came across R.E. by chance (new species series began my ocd of this style of romance) and I love that R.E.'s books keep me in suspense and the ever hopeful romantic.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you've enjoyed them, Jess! I have OCD when it comes to shifter books, too! :-) There is definitely nothing wrong with being a hopeful romantic...I'm definitely one myself! Thanks for commenting!
DeleteI started with A Curve of the Claw and have read everything the R.E. Butler has written except for the necklace books... Which is my next buy... I can't wait for the new ones to come out.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue! I'm so glad you've enjoyed my stories. Thanks for commenting!
DeleteI love your books I can't wait for the next one. I hope it's either a Ashland or Hyena book
ReplyDeleteHi! Actually, the next one will be the 6th Wolf book, which will be out the week of May 15. However, I am getting the 2nd hyena book ready for the editor, so I hope to have it out this summer! Thanks so much!
