Hereafter
by Joya Fields
Rob awakes one night to someone crying in his
apartment. He can't see her but he can hear
her quiet sobs. Soon he sees her and can tell
that she is not quite here but seems very real to
him. He can;t believe that he is seeing and
talking to a ghost. He and his twin brother
used to talk with their grandma after she had
died, but after his brother died, Rob stopped
believing in those things. Then why does he
think that he is having feelings for his new
nightly visitor??? Angie doesn't know where
she is. Doesn't have any memories to draw
from. But she knows that she is dead. How
did she end up here. And how does she go to
that apartment every night. Why
can't she stay there during the daytime.Rob has
helped her to discover so much of her missing
memories. He believes that she didn't commit
suicide and that her daughters boyfriend may be
involved. Then there is that cop who seems to
be hanging around her daughter and has been living
above his means. How can they find out for sure.
Together they devise a plan to travel back in time
to the night of the alleged suicide and capture the
real killer.
Review: This was a good read that had just the
right amount of suspense to keep me very interested
in the outcome of the book. I liked the way the
author built the relationship between Rob and Angie
without rushing it too much. And the connection
between the characters even tho they were often
in different worlds was strong and sweet. I
enjoyed reading this book and can recommend it easily.
