Welcome Alexia! It is awesome that you have come to visit JBR. My readers at looking forward to hearing all about you!
Thanks Julie! Good to be here!
Let's start with, tell us a little about your self? Besides being a wonderful author!
I
live in Las Vegas, have 4 kids who drive me nuts and I am a paranormal
urban fantasy writer. I have two series out: Reign of Blood series and A
Dark Faerie tale series. I love to read a lot and write poetry, sing
and dance.
What kinds of books to do write?
Mostly YA Paranormal Urban Fantasy but I do intend to expand into more New Adult Contemporary Literature too.
What can we expect from your books? Sex,violence, romance, gore, action, adventure?
My
two series are really different. From my Reign of Blood series, you can
expect tons of action, gore, thrills, chills, romance and suspense.
From my Dark Faerie tale series, it's more high fantasy and you can
expect an epic adventure, some romance and lots of magic.
Your newest release?
My
newest release will be Ever Winter, which comes out March 15th. I last
released Disarming, book 2 of the Reign of Blood series Dec. 28th.
Who is your favorite character from one of your stories? why?
I have to say, I really enjoy writing April, she's witty, sharp, strong and a touch chick.
Would you, if possible, ever want to meet that character?
Oh my, yes of course! But that would mean we are in post apocalyptic Las Vegas. Not a scenerio I want to live in.
What book have they read that touched you deeply? and why? (yours or someone elses)
I
loved Learning in the Dark by Margaret Sarah Bechtel. It was so
emotional and I loved how love can develop even in the most tragic of
circumstances.
Are you currently writing anything? Can you give us any hints?
I have a super secret project coming up and the only hint I'm giving is that I have never written a book like this before.
Any advice you would like to give aspiring authors?
Keep writing. Your writing skills only improve with practice so keep at it.
How about some fun stuff? Favorite past time activity?
Watching movies.
Favorite animal? Do you have one?
A cockatiel. I used to have a couple but they died of ripe old age.
Favorite food?
Spaghetti
a favorite book or one you can recommend (not your own)
My favorite book is Gone with the Wind. It's epic and so awesome.
A favorite author you can recommend and why?
My favorite author is Cassandra Clare. She writes epic reads and it's so fresh and amazing.
What kind of music do you listen too?
I love all types but I really like folksy kind of rock like Lisa Hannigan and Anna Nalick.
Spring, Fall, Winter, Summer?Why?
I'm a Summer kind of girl, I love the heat.
And finally where can we find your books?(please include any links you want including buy links)
