Welcome Ashlynne! It is awesome that you have come
to visit JBR. My readers are looking forward to hearing all about you!
Let's start with, tell us a little about yourself?
Besides being a
wonderful author! I’m Ashlynne Laynne and I live in the States with my
husband and son. I’ve been writing a little over two years.
What kinds
of books to do write?
I write erotic inter-racial paranormal
romance with vampires, Wiccans and demons. It’s a mouthful, I know.
What can we expect from your books? Sex, violence, romance, gore,
action, adventure?
The thing I strive for is “Hard sex with harder
love.” My Progeny Series has sex, romance, action, violence, suspense
and strong clan ties. As an author, I don’t box myself in to one
category.
Your newest release?
My newest release is entitled
Blood Promise. It is the third in my Progeny Series and continues the
love story of half-blooded vampire, Ascher Rousseau, and his chosen,
Wiccan Shauna McCutchin.
Blood Promise (The Progeny Series #3)Blurb:
“Their love is fated by an ancient prophecy. Now the promise is fulfilled.”
Ascher Rousseau is a half-human, half vampire whose life has been a
series of prophecies and predictions. After finding incredible love and
passion with Shauna—a Wiccan with powers beyond anything he’s ever
known—he seals to her and hopes for happiness. But his enemies seek to
destroy all that he loves, and he finds that happiness never lasts for
long.
Darkness is descending and a vampiric revolution is
nearing. A new brood of hatchlings is born to join their darkling
brothers, in preparation for war. A preordained chain of events is set
into motion that could lead to the rise of the demonic “cloaked one” and
his half-human fallen children, while ending humanity—as we know it.
Can a supernatural love and the loyal bond of a family save the Rousseaus and the world from certain extinction?
Who is your favorite character from one of your stories? Why?
Shauna
is my favorite character in my series, because her thought processes
and attitude closely resemble my own. She’s a kick-ass heroine and
Ascher’s eternal match. I love books with strong heroines and feel that
the only place my heroine should submit is between the sheets.
Would
you, if possible, ever want to meet that character?
Hells yeah!
Shauna and I would get along famously, because we are so much alike.
What book have they read that touched you deeply? And why? (yours or
someone else’s)
The last book that really touched my heart and
made me cry was Fifty Shades Darker by E.L. James. Like this series or
not, the author somehow found a way to touch millions of women’s hearts
with her story. I will admit reading those books and feeling sucked into
the world she created. Thirty million plus copies can’t be wrong.
Are
you currently writing anything? Can you give us any hints?
I’m
writing book four of my Progeny Series entitled Blood Fury, the first in
my Rocker Series entitled Rocker, and the first in my erotic short
series which is untitled.
Any advice you would like to give aspiring
authors?
Write every day and stay encouraged.
How about some fun stuff? Favorite past time activity?
I
am slowly converting my husband into a fanatical horror lover. My
favorite past time is relaxing on the sofa cuddled next to him watching
movies on our big screen.
Favorite animal? Do you have one?
I love pets, but have no time for one of my own. If I was going to have a dog, it would be a Yorkie or Schnauzer.
Favorite food?
homemade mac and cheese and pepperoni pizza
A favorite book or one you can recommend (not your own)
Sylvia Day’s Crossfire Series is, for the most part, a satisfying read.
A favorite author you can recommend and why?
Leanore
Elliott is a great erotic romance author. She has a book for every
taste—paranormal, western, suspense. Her stories have hot sex and strong
plot lines with unforgettable characters.
What kind of music do you
listen too?
I’m eclectic and enjoy most forms of music with the
exception of Bluegrass. Some of my favorite artists are Rod Stewart,
White Zombie, Evanescence, Adele, Bruno Mars, Van Morrison and the Kings
of Leon.
Spring, Fall, Winter, Summer? Why? Summer.
I was born in
July, so I guess I’m predisposed to loving the heat.
And finally where
