Danica Avet Day 1

                                           Riddick Spins Me Right Round

Hey y’all, just let me start by saying thanks to Julie for letting me take over!

I have a brand new release out called Caressed by Starlight: Meeting Croe which is a sci-fi erotic
romance. It has everything you could possibly want in a sci-fi story. A lost princess, a dangerous
quest, a hot, Alpha male…Biting, lots of steamy sexy times and a peek into the next installment
in the series.

But why sci-fi romance? Because despite my lack of scientific acumen, I actually enjoy stories
that take place on far-off worlds. Star Wars, Galaxy Quest, Pitch Black, The Chronicles of
Riddick, The Fifth Element, Spaceballs… I love those movies, but when I think about a sci-fi
erotic romance, my first thought goes back to Pitch Black.

Let’s face it, Vin Diesel is hot. Hot, I say. I loved him in that movie, loved the premise of the
story, but most of all, I adored the tension between Riddick and Lieutenant Fry. Was I the only
one who was disappointed when she was killed after that sexy, sliding around in the mud scene?
Because I kid you not, when I first watched this movie and saw him spin her around on her back
in that mud, the rain falling all around them, I was thinking, “Bow-chicka-wow-wow!”. Which
didn’t happen!

Oh, how could they have not at least have hooked up one time? Why? My boyfriend at the time
thought I was crazy for finding that one of the hottest scenes I’ve ever seen in a movie, but it
really got my motor running. Riddick was dangerous, he made no bones about it and that danger
was never more evident than in that moment. And really, who can resist a bad boy who can sling
you around like you weigh nothing? Not me!

So when I was writing Meeting Croe, I may have tapped into a little of my inner Riddick fangirl.
No, there are no mud scenes, but Croe’ix Shael is the kind of male who has no problem being
blunt with the heroine, En’Daria Hanu. I have to admit to blushing a few times while writing this
story because Croe turned out to be a lot naughtier than I expected and after writing nearly
twenty books, it takes a lot to make me blush ;)

Now I have to ask y’all, who’s your favorite sci-fi movie hero/anti-hero? Who spins you right
round?

Blurb:

Imperial Princess En'Daria Hanu has the entire galaxy at her feet. Heir to the Endiki throne, she
spent her entire life preparing to rule, but her future is forever altered when she's kidnapped. Sold
to an auction house, she escapes on her own but soon realizes she'll need help to return home.
Daria's only hope is the Skarskordian fighter Croe'ix Shael, who makes her feel more like a
female and less like a royal.

Banished from his home world and denied the heritage of his blood, Croe has fought all his life
but never really had anything worth fighting for. Then Daria walks into his life and a shift occurs
inside him. She awakens the Skarskordian warrior he's long forgotten and, in exchange for the
pleasure of her body, he will protect her with his life. When danger stalks their every step and he
discovers who Daria really is, Croe knows he's found someone to fight for and he'll do
everything in his power to keep her safe. Everything--even if it means bringing another male into
the equation.
