Having written my first novel, I’m happy to admit I’m hooked. I can’t wait to start on my next. I have an idea for a murder mystery set in Vermont at Christmas time. But I’m also considering writing a sequel to Pulling Strings, following some of the characters past the 2016 presidential election, which serves as the backdrop of this book.
I’ve already heard from several people who like the story and want to know what happens next. Without giving away too much, I’ll just say Pulling Strings is about the intrigue of the Democratic presidential nomination process and leaves some room for doubt about the outcome of the actual presidential election.
I could certainly pick up where I left off, but I think it would be more interesting to jump ahead a few years and see where the characters ended up – and whether they are paying for, or benefitting from, their actions in Pulling Strings.
I love hearing from readers who have questions about what happens next. It’s not something I really considered as I worked to wrap up the book with the ending I planned from the outset. But it does raise questions and I really appreciate hearing from people who enjoyed the book.

Book blurb:
When the popular owner of the Baltimore Orioles is murdered, the repercussions reach nearby Washington D.C., where the 2016 presidential race is in full swing.
Senator Sara Clancy must choose sides in a battle for the Democratic nomination fuelled by sabotage and dirty tricks. Trusting no one, she faces a decision that could influence the outcome of the election…and much more.
Nothing is as it seems in this taut mystery/thriller that mixes murder, politics, baseball and sex – not necessarily in that order.
