Review of Gina by Reneica
M. Roberts
Regina Cole is a lawyer
that is involved in a divorce from her rich, abusive husband. She has been
seeing a therapist for PTSD type symptoms relating to the mental and physical
abuse she had been subjected to. Wesley Spencer, Gina's childhood friend and
fellow lawyer has loved Gina all her life. He tries to cheer Gina up, wants to
protect her, and helps to make her life easier. Wesley takes on a serious case
that Gina had started to handle, and offers to be Gina's divorce lawyer, but
when their relationship goes from friendly business associates to lovers,
Wesley has to get their friend and fellow lawyer to take over Gina's case. When
things with Gina's ex get violent, will Wesley be able to protect Gina, or will
he get caught up in the violence himself? Will these two ever be able to be
happy and safe together?
This was an exciting
story. I was happily surprised at the ending. There are some typos, and it
needs edited a bit more, but the story is interesting. I give it 4 1/2 out of
5 stars.
