The muse
by Nancy Fraser
Susan
Leland is a pampered socialite. And yet she finds herself drawn to
things that most sheltered debutante in the mid 1920's would
shy away from. But not Susan. She is prepared to act on the
attraction when she accidentally meets up with Evan Forrester (a
painter) for the second time - the first time was an auto accident in
which she broke the mans wrist. But what she wasn't prepared for is the attraction that she is having towards the sultry singer, Holly, who is singing at Susan favorite club.
Review:
This was an easy read that is on the shorter side. I liked the
writing style and the story. Susan is a fun character that comes
into herself during the story and I really like Evan. And adding Holly
to the mix was just the spice that Susan needed to help bring her out of her shell. A good story that is fun and spicy.
