Lizzie Tarleton lives in the 50's and is a little rebel! From climbing
trees to throwing baseballs better than most of the boys oh and having
her mouth cleaned out. At 13 she is in love with her brothers best
friend who is 4 yrs older than her. He lets her down easy.
Jump ahead and Lizzie is a teacher and her boss the principal is none
other than her childhood crush Wayne Whitmore. Lizzie is more than a
little in love with Wayne and afraid to say anything. Wayne yearns for
Lizzie but has promised Lizzie's brother that he would watch out for
her. Someone is going to have to make the first move.
This a a simple sweet love story. It has been awhile since I read
such a book and I remember why I liked them. This is a Short book but
leaves nothing to the side.
