Dead Ice
Anita Blake the Animator/Necromancer/Vampire Lover/ Were-Animal Lover and way to many more to list is back. She is pulled into a police investigation that is bad even by Anita's standards. Someone is raising the dead to make sex slaves. She has to find out who, where and how they are making these zombies. To top it off they are very life like and they have horror in their eyes. How can any zombie show horror?? That is suppose to be impossible. The only one explanation is possible, if there soul is put back into the zombie. There is only one person who Anita can think of that could possibly do this, and she is dead??
On top of a problems with zombies, her love life is forever complicated. Jean Claude and her wedding, Micah, Nathanial and her, commitment ceremony, the Tigers want her to add another to the ceremony and now some of the men want more women in the bed.
Dead Ice follows Anita through a couple days of her life. Sex, lovers, fighting, zombies, vamps, were animals galore surround Anita is her life of action. Anita proves that she can hold her own and has earned the respect of many and makes even more cringe at the horror she can do and does. Dead Ice gives you the glimpse of Anita's busy life. I really enjoy the Anita Blake stories. I look forward to these every year. I will warn you, don't read these out of order. These books build upon each other. Awesome series and can't wait to read about the wedding and to see how things unfold.
