Author Shannon Carter is pleased to announce the release of her debut novel The Heir of Tara. It is the first in what will be a four book teen fantasy series, following lead character Evelyn "Evie" Woodville.

Evie is an ordinary teenager about to start her freshman year of college. Or so she thought. As a child her father was murdered and Evie is about to discover that there was far more to it than she ever imagined. Soon Evie is whisked into a world she never knew existed. Carter is a Massachusetts native. She releases The Heir Tara on the heels of her debut screenplay Mark of the Dog Rosethat premiered this past October with Astropiano Films. The Heir of Tara has received great reviews on both Amazon and GoodReads. It was recently featured on the front page of the Middlesex East Regional and Carter is scheduled to appear onOff the Shelf this November. The show interviews authors from across the country. She is currently on a book tour.
