Welcome
to Julies Book Review. Can you tell me a little about yourself? Hi!
Thanks so much for having me. I'll start off by saying I have done a
little bit of everything, from working in Hospice, to catering, to the
dental field. It wasn't until recently I discovered something that I
truly love and I am driven each day to do, writing. My husband has been
my number one fan, and he's my cornerstone of all my work.
What kind of books do you write? Paranormal Romance.
Newest release? Demon Bound which is the third book in the Crescent Bound Trilogy.
What
should we expect in your book? action,adventure, drama etc. Action,
romance, adventure, love, obsession, revenge and magic.
How
do you get ideas for your books? Dreams usually, now on occasion I can
hear a song on the radio or see a picture and it ignites a story.
Anything
in your stories based on real experiences? Not necessarily, the main
thing for me is taking someone facing challenges and seeing if and how
they can pull through. I don't always write a HEA. But sometimes I do,
it is up to where the story takes me.
Toughest
criticism? Criticism is just someone’s opinion and they are welcome to
it, I don't really pay attention to the few I get.
Best compliment? I love it when someone connects with my characters and story. That is the best.
Any
advice for aspiring authors? Write, research, make the story is so
good that you love reading it yourself and write. I know I said that
twice, but that's the truth, it is the only way to reach your full
potential as an author.
How about some fun stuff?
Favorite past time? Absolutely! Reading, and watching movies with my
family or mountain biking on the weekends.
Dogs or cats or some other pet? Nope, no pets.
1 Fav book? why?( or one you can recommend) Oh gosh, this is a tough one. The Opportunist by Tarryn Fisher
Favorite place to travel? Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
1 fav author? Why?( or one you can recommend) Tarryn Fisher, you have to read her to know why I say she is my fav.
Is this your full time job? if yes, anything else you want to do? if no what else do you do? Yes. There's nothing else in the world I would rather do than write.

Karli

Review of Pine Needles by Karli Rush
Pine Needles (The Veil Realm Series, #1).
by Karli RushRayden and Selene are thrust into a World none had ever expected. Their tiny part of the planet is changed forever starting with ravaging earthquakes, arrows flying through the air hitting and killing many. Selene and Rayden must fight to survive this new world or die trying. Selene is captured after a long exhausting run just as she is about to jump to her death she is grabbed by one of them. He now will make her his or she will be dinner. She must choice Life or Death and she must life with the choice she makes as devastating as it will be.
Wow! Talk about an emotional roller-coaster , all over the place emotions. So intense, I was holding my breathe and had to unwilling put the book down to walk around and breathe quite a few times, also to get my emotions in check. Only A Masterful Writer can elicit these emotions from ones readers.
Not a techno Sci/Fi yet so much more. My favorite quote in this book " Your Breast are not sweet"!
This Book 1 of the Veil Realm Series is a Major Hit. If you have not read Karli Rush's Books yet I urge you to start with this one. You will not be disappointed. This book is unlike her others as not so much on the romance as it is about, What would you do to stay alive? Even after reading I am going over my favorite part(s) as I could not just choice one. This book stays with the reader long after reading.
I Highly Recommend This Book!

Alyssa and Marc are crescent bound. This means they are meant to be together in all ways. Dark forces kidnap Alyssa doing unthinkable things to her so that she no longer even knows who she is. Marc and Alyssa's dad will stop at nothing to get her back.
This book is get go from the first page. I love how Karli Rush can just grab the reader and take you for a wild ride. She brilliantly writes characters that you will yell at , cry with and make them as if they really are your friends and not just characters in a book.
She has become one of my most favorite authors of all time!
I highly recommend this series!

Mattie is a young Vampire, Graham is something else. When they finally meet at a party, it leaves both wanting more. Yet Mattie has had it, her Mommy Dearest is a Alcoholic and not up for mom of the year.
Mattie sets out for a town she has heard of that has a Daywalking serum and is full of Vampires. While all along wishing she could see Graham. She is in for more then she bargained for. Set up as an escort Mattie not one to do what is expected of her. Mattie is learning that the Vampires are not as they would seem.
This Story is so different from all those others. I loved it! The entire book was a fast paced couldn't put down, page turning affair. The characters were a breathe of fresh air. I don't want to give to much away or I could go on and on.
Karli Rush has written another chart topper!

absolutely loved this book! If you like to read books about witches
this one's the one to read. It has everything you need to keep it
entertaining & make you want to keep reading until you finish. Once
you start it, you can't put it down. This is an amazing read and it
had me turning pages til the very end. The story line was exciting
& fast paced & the characters easy to love. The ending was
amazing. I can't wait to read the 2nd book in this series.. This is the
first book I've read by this author, and I'd love to read more

This wonderful story is about a young women and her 2 childhood friends all now seniors in High School. Magically hidden from the other Students, till 1 can see through. Oh what a ride that will be. Magic is everywhere and so beautiful. More Friends enter this trio and off to a wonderful world filled with Magic, Trust, Love, FUN, Friendship!
Oh did I forgot Drag Strip for teens and adults. Also hidden from us mortals!
Alyssa Worthington is a Fire Witch. She has powers that are yet to be tapped. This puts her on the list of most coveted by the bad guys. Her friends and family will do everything in their powers to help Alyssa survive. Marcus is from a coven long thought extinct. He doesn't know about Witches or anything paranormal. He is about to have a crash course in Witches and Love if he is to save his Crescent Bound
The book kept my attention, all the characters showed promise of being the best of friends and yet no one is perfect and all accepted this.
Very Well Written. Most of the time I forgot I was reading a Book. This tells me a lot about the Author. Karli Rush is an Author to Watch!!

Welcome to February here on JBR!
February the shortest month of the year but one of the best and not just because my birthday is coming up!! (Feb 15th)! hint hint! A lot going on this wk!

Review of The House by Karli Rush
Rich is a college Student, and a
Paranormal Investigator with his buddies. They have all the cool gear
to Investigate Paranormal.
Rich finally gets the nerve to ask Keria out on a date. This book sent chills down my spine! Very Detail Oriented , this book pulled me in as if I was one of them and going through the ordeal of this House Being Alive with something or someone.

Review of Daylight by Karli Rush
Daylight
Mattie is a vampire. She is young and gets around with her young friends. All she wants is to go to a party. Her "Mother", or creator has issues and Mattie is about done with her. When she finally gets to the party she meets Graham. He is different and she is intensely drawn to him. After a unusual encounter, she makes the decision to leave. Going to the town of Solace looking for a drug called Daylight, which will allow Mattie to not burn in the sun, and start her new life. The town is full of twits, turns and a surprise or two.
This is a book 1 in a series. Keep that in mind when reading the story. Mattie is a young vamp who is going out on her own. She is longing for a boy she can't find and wanting the daylight drug. She knows she can find it in the town of Solace. A vamp ran town. The story is different than your usual vampire love story books. It is a little slow in the beginning (the set-up) but stay with it. It definitely picked up as the story unfolds. I hope as the series continues we learn more about Graham and there relationship. Overall a good story but hoping for more in book 2.

Seducing a Mermaid
Sam is on the verge of a big new art gallery. He is becoming pretty famous but has been in a rut with his art. To get some solace and hopefully a muse, he goes to his sisters home out on the island. He finds more than his muse. Will he be able to follow his heart when the time comes?
This is a novella and I didn't want to give away to much of the story. Easy read in one sitting. 17+ and older recommended, there are some pretty good love scenes. It is very well written and I loved the whole idea of the story. I would have loved to know more about certain characters and even more on the story. That is my only complaint, it was not long enough. Thanks for the great read.

REVIEW-Shadow Bound - Book 4 (Crescent Bound) by Karli Rush
This is the fourth book in the Crescent Bound Series. Parts of this
story will be clearly understood if books one through three are read
prior to this novel.
A Seer bound to a King by a prophesy , he will have good years, plenty of food, rule in wars....as long as not 1 drop of blood is shed by the seer.
A King who see's more to the seer than a seer but as a woman.
Alyssa was kept up tighter than a drum so that the prophesy stayed true. But a seer wanting to be loved for who she is not what she is.
Will a war and blood be shed so that 2 people may come to love one another?
WOW, just WOW. This story was so not what I was expecting and yet it went above and beyond.
The characters are so well presented that you really come to care for all of them.
This story Shows that True Love will travel generations to reunite.
I Highly Recommend this book.
