Marie Force delivers again in her 13th book of the Gansett Island Series with "Love After Dark". This series is a favorite among readers world-wide, and the latest installment doesn't disappoint.
Paul Martinez has put his life on hold to run the family business as well as taking care of his ailing mother who suffers from dementia. Help arrives in the form of nurse Hope Russell and her lovable son, Ethan. Paul is immediately drawn to Hope, but he tables his attraction not wanting to upset the delicate balance of boss and employee that exists between them.
Their attraction to one another grows stronger with each day, and Paul finds himself falling for not only the mom, but her young son as well. Hope is still battling ghosts from her past, though, and she's vowed to never depend on a man for anything again. Fiercely independent, Hope finally allows Paul in but the couple faces numerous struggles before they get it right. When circumstances suddenly change in their situation, Paul is left thinking he may lose Hope before they have a chance to make things work.
Marie Force does an excellent job of developing this sexy, believable story while visiting other well-established characters in the series along the way. A few new faces are introduced that leave you anxious for more of the Gansett Island gang. If you love a great romantic series, then you'll want to read the complete Gansett series for sure.
This is definitely a five star story!
